How ‘Facebook Places’ will mainstream location services
How ‘Facebook Places’ will mainstream location services
Facebook Places, the social network's answer to the growing popularity of location-based services, will neither “kill Foursquare” (as some pundits have suggested) nor thrill users with a breathtaking new way to socialize. New Facebook alternative is just like the original Facebook
New Facebook alternative is just like the original Facebook
Facebook now dominates Internet traffic. But when it started, it's appeal was that Facebook was a system closed to everyone but students — you needed an .edu e-mail address to even sign up. There were no ads, and privacy was a major feature. Now, anyone can join Facebook, and — especially recently — there is almost no privacy....

A seven-year-old Australian boy was traveling with his mother, her partner (who was driving) and his 5-year-old and six-week old brothers when a kangaroo hopped onto the road. Why we need a Facebook Hide button on everything
Google TV is great. But what it really needs is a Facebook-style Hide button. I want to make TV shows, TV show types (like infomercials) and entire networks disappear. Search, Twitter, e-mail, Web ads and radio need Hide buttons, too. Here's why . Permalink | Leave a comment  Read More →
